Ken Kapty, CPA
Ken's work is primarily focused on tax planning and compliance for owner-managed clients including professional corporations, including legal, medical and dental clinics. He also advises on ownership structures, cash flow projections, wealth planning and investment optimization. His goal is to help clients get more cash out of their existing earnings.
Ken graduated from Queen's University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in 1990. He practiced with a national accounting firm in Vancouver and earned his CA degree in 1993.
Ken completed the CICA In-depth Tax Course in 1996 and the Canadian Securities Course in 1989. He also completed the CICA Advanced Tax Course in Wealth Preservation and the CICA Advanced Tax Course in Corporate Reorganizations.
Ken is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the Canadian Tax Foundation. He has been a tax lecturer for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia, and has also authored tax articles published by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia. Ken was a Marker for Uniform Final Examinations for the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, and has been an Author and Marker of audit and tax exams for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia.
When not at work Ken enjoys playing hockey and skiing with his family.
